UNIVERSITY EDUCATION AND LIFE’S LIMITLESS PATHWAYS PART 1

Graduation gown and a cap

“Don’t worry if your A level results are disappointing. I got a C and 2 Us…”

  • Jeremy Clarkson.

YOUR “A” LEVELS RESULTS…GREAT JOY AND DISPAPPOINTMENT…. SUCH IS LIFE!

It is not life if it is not full of surprises, certainties and uncertainties, sorrow/anguish and joy; happiness and sadness; sighing and laughter; puzzles, mysteries and wonders/marvels; appointments and disappointments, failures and successes;  shame and grace, reproach/ curses and blessings/praises; likes and dislikes, truth and untruth or disinformation; courage/boldness and timidity or cowardice; soundness and unsoundness;  promises (bright) and bleakness; hopes and hopelessness; dreams and shattered dreams; inspirations/motivations and lacklustre, courage and discouragement; possibilities and impossibilities; pessimism and optimism; harrowing and joyous experiences; enthusiasm and the lack of it; bravery and timidity; laziness and hard work; confidence and the lack of it; fulfilled dreams and shattered dreams; appointments and disappointments; laughter and sadness; happiness and unhappiness; sadness and joy; open doors and closed doors; opportunities and the lack of it, etc, etc.

On this note, I want to congratulate all young persons as they open their brown envelopes this week to view the results of their A Level and GCSE results of all their academic efforts or the lack of it over the years.

Whatever therefore, be your grades – take it as this is what life is all about – full of appointment and disappointments – fulfilments and unfulfillments; whatever be your AR (achieved results), especially after having put in all your best efforts according to your ability before going in to sit for these exams, you must have it always at the back of your mind that God/Nature will always reward you according to the measure of the efforts you have put or will ever put in a venture – no more, no less.

Again, whatever be your AR, don’t be discouraged and rather than be discouraged, take the discouragement as His appointment as every disappointment it is often said is a blessing.
