YOU ARE NOT THE BOSS, NOR ARE YOU ON YOUR OWN, YOU ARE ACCOUNTABLE TO THE OTHER PERSON
In our vertical relationship, to God first are we accounted before man.
And then in our horizontal relationship, just as in stewardship, accountability is sine qua non, meaning in any relationship, you are not the Alpha and Omega in that relationship nor are the boss nor are on your own or an island, nor the be-all and end-all, but are sure accountable to the other person.
Therefore, in the enjoyment of your fundamental human rights or exercising of them thereof, you must always bear in mind that your rights stops where the other person’s begins.
So, you must always be conscious of the fact that you are first and foremost accountable to the other person, your parents, elderly relatives, your peer group/s and then to authorities – your teachers, immediate superior or supervisor, line manager, heads of your schools, colleges, academies, universities, institutions/organizations, other authorities, be they internal or external. These are the principal, rector, provost, director, Vice Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor, including of course, external authorities, etc.
Therefore, you must always do your best to act your part in every relationship, not becoming a nuisance or a parasite in such a relationship, but symbiotically work for the growth and advancement, health and overall wellbeing of that relationship, not pursuing vested self-interest, and not pushing any jobs or tasks of yours to anyone or leave them unattended to, but carry out your responsibilities faithfully, dutifully, and loyally in addition to attending to all the assignments/tasks required of you in that relationship or institution/ organization, be it relational, administrative or developmental, that is expected of you or that you might be called upon to undertake by your friends, partners, boyfriend/girlfriend, peer group/s or supervisors from time to time.
